Plus handle, and extra lens
This Mamiya C 220 Twin Lens Reflex Camera # B 34158 has the 80 mm f 2.8 Mamiya Sekor taking lens # 230654 and # 223866 factory matched view lens. The lenses are in chrome mounts, very well made. The shutter is the Seikosha with X and M sync and speeds from 1 to 500 and Bulb. Speeds 1,2, and 4 do not work. All other operations of the shutter and camera body are smooth and good.
This camera is capable of taking interchangeable lenses. A wide variety is available ranging from 55mm to 250mm. Contrary to the usual twin-lens reflexes, the Mamiya has a bellows permitting an extra 2 inch extension from the camera body. Therefore the camera is capable of taking close-ups, not quite getting to 1-1 magnification with the standard 80 mm lens.
The camera comes equipped with a Mamiya Porroflex eyelevel viewfinder. This is a light weight substitute for the type of pentaprism finder of SLRs. Instead of the prism the Porroflex uses a series of mirrors. There is some sacrifice of brightness results.
In operation the film can be advanced by a crank on the camera right side using one’s right hand and almost simultaneously the shutter can be cocked with the left hand. Then the picture is taken with the shutter release on the camera right side. This goes for fast action, even though the two operation are separate. Multiple exposures are forbidden unless a small knob on the right is set. The camera can take 12 pictures on 120 film or 24 on 220 film; hence the denotation C220.
The camera body looks to be in excellent condition, the shutter works well.
The Mamiya Twin Lens cameras have an excellent reputation for ruggedness and reliability, are fitted with high quality optics, and this camera should give excellent service.
